About the client
Our client operates an innovative online marketplace dedicated to co-living spaces, offering a unique platform for users with spare space to list their properties for subletting. This service simplifies the process of finding the perfect roommate by allowing users to search based on their preferences.
Business challenge
Diggz, initially launched with an MVP developed by its co-founders, quickly encountered a major bottleneck as it expanded: scalability. The original platform's algorithm, efficient for a smaller user base, struggled under heavier traffic, notably causing over 10-second load times in the roommate search feature. Faced with the dilemma of simplifying their unique features or evolving without compromising their vision, Diggz needed a strategic solution to scale effectively while maintaining its core functionality.
Project description
The partnership between ErgoServ and Diggz began with a critical mission: enhancing and scaling the existing system to handle a growing user base. This collaboration evolved into a continuous, creative endeavor, jointly brainstorming and efficiently implementing new functionalities, integrations, and features, marking a path of long-term productive partnership.

The team expanded the MVP to effortlessly handle more users, overcoming initial technical challenges.

Diggz’s main search feature and other interfaces were upgraded for a more engaging and intuitive user experience.
Boosting SEO and Content
Efforts were made to optimize content and search engine crawling, readying the platform for Google Core Web Vitals, ensuring adherence to GDPR and other relevant standards.
Securing Communication
Advanced security measures, including fraud prevention solution, were implemented for data protection.
Integrating Payment Processes
Stripe was incorporated for streamlined payment processing, with the introduction of various products including subscription-based and one-time services in multiple currencies.
Expanding Offerings
Diggz expanded its rental options from just rooms to full apartments and co-living spaces, integrating with APIs and MLS feeds, and scaled across multiple metro areas and smaller localities.
Enhancing User Accessibility
Registration via phone number was enabled and SSL certificates were updated for safer access.
Upgrading Algorithms
The user-matching system was enhanced to a sophisticated algorithm-based suggestion engine, aiming for better compatibility and connections among users.
Flexibilizing Admin Panel
